Continuing its dedication to injecting a new wave of investment as announced late last year, Sonalika will invest Rs. 1000 crore in establishing a new tractor assembly plant and an additional Rs. 300 crore to establish a new foundry under tremendous pressure.

Sonalika Tractors, India’s top tractor export brand, has been a leading OEM in Punjab and has already made Hoshiarpur town globally recognized with its world’s largest tractor manufacturing facility. The company is thrilled to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for two new plants in the state, graced by Shri Bhagwant Mann, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab. In alignment with its commitment to inject a fresh round of investment announced late last year, Sonalika will invest Rs. 1000 crore in establishing a new tractor assembly plant and an additional Rs. 3300 crore to establish a new foundry under great strain.

In Hoshiarpur, Chief Minister Mann revealed the ambitious growth plan of Sonalika Group, which represents a major turning point in the industrial development of the state. The state-of-the-art tractor assembly facility is dedicated solely to Sonalika Group’s export commitments and will increase the company’s annual capacity by an additional 1 lakh tractors once fully operational. Furthermore, the new cutting-edge facility, DRAS – a High-Pressure Foundry Plant, will become the largest casting plant in North India upon completion. Designed by experienced engineers from Japan and built to rigorous Japanese manufacturing standards, the new facility guarantees unmatched quality and efficiency, further expanding Sonalika’s presence across 150 countries. This new plant will reinforce the company’s position as the owner of the largest integrated tractor plant globally.

Dr. Amrit Sagar Mittal, Vice Chairman of Sonalika Tractors, extended his thanks to CM Mann for attending the event and stated, “Sonalika’s new investments in Hoshiarpur will reinforce our status as the owner of the world’s largest tractor manufacturing facility. The government’s assistance has been exceptional, especially through its single-window platform for facilitating new projects in Punjab. Mr. Akshay Sangwan, Director of Development & Commercial at Sonalika Tractors, remarked, “Our heavy-duty tractor range will experience a significant enhancement in terms of quality and expansion with the new casting facility, which has an annual melting capacity of more than one lakh metric tonnes. With its cutting-edge Kunkel Wagner high-pressure molding line, manufactured in Germany, DRAS is prepared to improve tractor quality by manufacturing superior castings.

CM Mann visited to see Sonalika’s amazing new tractor production at the manufacturing facility, which is known as the largest tractor manufacturing facility in the world and produces a new tractor every two minutes. Praising the scope as well as efficiency of the operations, he acknowledged the pivotal role played by Sonalika Group in driving Punjab’s industrial development.
