Bengaluru-based VST Group has named Arun V Surendra as chairman of VST Tillers Tractors Ltd., a third-generation member Arun of the VST family, serves as the Managing Director of VST Group. An enterprise looking after this consortium operates three main segments: a public listed tractors and tillers company, a non-banking financial company (NBFC), and auto dealerships housing top-tier global brands.

Arun discussed the recent leadership change in the tractor division. In this, outgoing Chairman VK Surendra expressed confidence in Arun’s visionary leadership, describing his role as a torchbearer for the company’s values.
Arun emphasized on the growth potential of the NBFC segment and forecasted it as a key driver of growth for the coming five years. Further, he mentioned the efforts of the company investigating electric tractors and tillers to address various challenges faced by the Indian agriculture industry.
Arun has overseen the diverse makeup of 11 brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, and Porsche in the automotive sector. He stressed the importance of preserving company capacity and remaining profitable after the pandemic. He credited the strong growth to market adjustments and increased demand.
Concerning family involvement and succession planning, Arun focused on the importance of clarity and shared vision among family members. He mentioned the existence of a family constitution to preserve the fundamental values of a family. “I consider it my responsibility to ensure that there is clarity and trust within the family members and the group,” Arun commented.
