Today, with the help of agricultural machines, almost every work of farming has become easy. State governments also now give grants to the farmers for the purchase of different types of agricultural machines. In this series, the Madhya Pradesh government has also launched the E-Krishi Yantra Anudan Yojana. Under this scheme, machines for crop harvesting and residue management are now being made available on subsidy. Soon the time for harvesting rabi crops is also coming. In such a situation, a subsidy of 40 to 50 percent is being given on the purchase of straw reaper, automatic reaper or tractor reaper, shredder or mulcher. Applications have started from 25 January. If the farmers wish, they can submit their application form along with all the necessary documents till February 1.

Madhya Pradesh Agricultural Engineering Department has decided to give 40 to 50 percent subsidy to the farmers of the state on straw reaper, automatic reaper or tractor reaper, shredder or mulcher used in harvesting and crop residue management.
The Straw Reaper is a 3 in 1 agricultural machine, which can handle the work of harvesting, threshing and straw cleaning/making straw with ease. This machine is used by connecting it to the tractor. It is helpful in the management of crop residues, due to which there is no problem of stubble burning. To avail the subsidy on the purchase of straw reaper, security money of Rs 10,000 will have to be done in the form of DD.
Automatic reaper moves on its own, which does not require a tractor or any vehicle to pull it, while a reaper is also operated from a tractor. This also makes the work of harvesting and stubble management easier. To get the benefit of subsidy on the purchase of automatic reaper or tractor reaper, a security money of Rs 5,000 has to be deposited in the form of DD.
The crop residues or leaves are cut into small pieces by means of special blades fitted in the shredder or mulcher. Then if the farmer wishes, he can make natural mulching of the crop residues or spread these pieces in the field and leave them to dissolve in the soil itself, so that they can be converted into manure. A special blade is also fitted in this machine, which makes this work easy. For subsidy on this machine, a security money of Rs 5,000 has to be submitted in the form of DD.
Under the Madhya Pradesh e-Krishi Yantra Anudan Yojana, soft copies of some necessary documents will also have to be attached to get a grant on the purchase of agricultural implements.
