Agriculture is the largest source of income for farmers. But, to fulfill all the needs of life the farmer’s income is not so much to acquire the whole life.

For that, the government schemes and Yojna are there to provide benefits to the farmers. One of the direct processed methods is the DBT Agriculture Scheme. 

The benefits of DBT or the government norms do not support everyone, but it somehow provides hassle-free authentication for the farmers to make independent decisions on the application of different fertilizers.

Apart from this, DBT helps in reducing the creation of digital infrastructure. It also helps in certainly the retailer’s burden to keep the records that often appear in Aadhar cards. Thus, such a process will help in financially sustainable the provision of domestic control. 

DBT Agriculture Programs Implementation

The planning commission covers DBT programs to regulate various DBT Agriculture schemes for the benefit of the farmers.

The government introduced DBT programs in 43 districts and later added 78 more districts to 27 schemes covering benefits for women, scholarships, child, and labor welfare.

Furthermore, the government expanded DBT across the country in 2014, including seven additional scholarship schemes under DBT with the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act.

It is noticeable that in every Union territory and states DBT plays a vital role in formulating different policies and schemes. 

Schemes Under DBT Agriculture

Under DBT, the government sets up different kinds of departments, and each department holds responsibility under various ministers. As a result, the government runs 357 schemes from 54 ministers.

Major Schemes under DBT Agriculture for the agrarian sector are as follows: 

1) PM Kisan Scheme

The government launched the PM Kisan Scheme with an aim to help farmers earn income. It helps small and medium farmers. The PM Kisan scheme aims to benefit more farmers in the country.

PM Kisan scheme helps farmers in availing financial support to small and medium farmers of Rs 6,000 annually divided into three installments each of Rs 2000 in every four months including from April to July, August to November, and December to March.

2) Agri-Business Centres and Agri Clinics

The government implements various methods to benefit the farmers through this scheme. Under this scheme, the government has taken several programs to provide benefits to the farmers.

The major participants of the Ministry of Agriculture and farmers’ welfare, the Government of India. Has brought some unique programs for better farming and reach to maximum farmers in India. 

This scheme is to provide benefits to the expertise of Agriculture Graduates, believe in setting up their own Agribusiness center, Agriclinic, and provides professional services to a large number of farmers.

For the students who are graduating in the field of Agriculture or any other subjects including Forestry, Dairy, Horticulture, Sericulture, Veterinary Sciences, Fisheries, Farming, etc.

will get the proper start training in the respective fields. Once the students complete their training they can apply for loans for new start-ups. 

3) Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna

One of the major and very important schemes guaranteed by the DBT Agriculture is Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. This scheme aims at providing the benefit of an insurance claim on crops to the farmers by stabilizing their income when there is a failure of crops due to unnatural weather conditions.

PM Fasal Bima Yojna is the best scheme for the farmers to recover their amount by following few steps on registration. Nowadays, the government is encouraging the farmers to enroll in the PM Fasal Bima Yojna and wants the farmers to benefit from this scheme.
