Mahindra & Mahindra released the Tractor Sales Report for May 2024. The company’s domestic sales increased to 35,237 units in May 2024 from 33,113 units in May 2023, reflecting a 6% growth. In the export market, Mahindra’s tractor sales saw a significant rise of 85%, with 1,872 units sold in May 2024 compared to 1,013 units in May 2023. Overall, Mahindra‘s total tractor sales for May 2024 reached 35,237 units, up from 33,113 units in May 2023, marking a 6% increase in sales.

Mahindra & Mahindra also announced the Year to Date (YTD) tractor sales figures for May 2024. The company experienced an increase in domestic sales, with 71,042 units sold in 2024 compared to 68,511 units in 2023. This data indicates a 4% increase in the company’s tractor sales within the country for 2024.
However, Mahindra‘s YTD Tractor Sales Report for 2024 shows a 54% increase in the export market, with 3,106 units sold compared to 2,020 units in 2023.

Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., stated, “In May 2024, we sold 35,237 tractors in the domestic market, achieving a 6% growth over last year. The timely arrival of the southwest monsoon in Kerala and the northeast states, along with the forecast of an above-normal monsoon, has positively impacted farmers’ sentiments. Land preparation activities for Kharif crops are expected to start on time, which is likely to boost tractor demand in the coming months. In the export market, driven by OJA exports to the USA, we sold 1,872 tractors, marking an 85% growth over last year.”
