Irrigation pipeline scheme is being run by the Rajasthan government with the aim of providing irrigation water to the farmers in sufficient quantity for agriculture, under which it has been decided to give 60 percent subsidy to the farmers on the purchase of pipeline.

Due to climate change, many changes are being seen in the earth. Due to which the water level is decreasing day by day, at some places the glaciers are melting and at other places due to drought, living has become difficult. Climate change is not only a cause of trouble for the common people but it is also emerging as the biggest problem for the farmers. Due to low water levels, farmers are unable to irrigate their crops. In view of this, the Rajasthan government has launched the Irrigation Pipeline Subsidy Scheme at the state level, under which a subsidy will be given by the state government on the purchase of irrigation pipeline for tubewell connectivity. This will also make it easier for the farmers to irrigate their crops.
Subsidy on purchase of pipeline
- Under the scheme being run by the Rajasthan government, first priority will be given to small and marginal farmers on the purchase of irrigation pipeline. Apart from this, general category farmers will also get its benefit.
- General category farmers will be given 50 percent subsidy i.e. a maximum subsidy of Rs 15,000 on the purchase of pipeline for irrigation.
- So on the other hand, small and marginal farmers will be given a subsidy of 60 percent i.e. a maximum of Rs 18,000.
Conditions for Pipeline Subsidy
To get the benefit of irrigation pipeline scheme, the government has put some conditions, in which –
- The farmer should have his own eligible land.
- Application The farmer should have his own set up well, tube well, diesel or tractor operated pump.
