In this sequence, a new scheme is being started by the Jharkhand government for the farmers. The name of this scheme is Post Harvest and Preservation Infrastructure Development Scheme.
Under this scheme, cycles and e-rickshaws will be given to the farmers. This will make it easier for the farmers to sell their produce in the market.
Farmers will be able to sell their fruits and vegetables on cycles and e-rickshaws in the market. For this, farmers will also be given carats to keep the product from the Directorate of Horticulture. Apart from this, small equipment will also be provided to the farmers.
What is Post Harvest and Preservation Infrastructure Development Scheme: The Post Harvest and Preservation Infrastructure Development Scheme has been started by the Directorate of Horticulture, especially to promote fruit and vegetable growing farmers.
Under this, farmers will be encouraged for processing and handling of fruits, vegetables, and cycles and e-rickshaws will be given to the farmers to facilitate the sale of the produce.
Through this, farmers will be able to go to the market and sell their produce i.e. fruits, vegetables, etc. easily at a good price.
Apart from this, the cold storage facility will also be provided to the farmers to keep fruits and vegetables safe for a long time. Let us inform you that for the first time the Directorate of Horticulture of the State has started this scheme for the farmers.
E-rickshaw will be distributed to 250 farmers: Apart from this, the Horticulture Department also has a plan to provide e-rickshaws to 250 farmers.
On this, Rs 87 lakh will be spent by the state government. The cost of one unit will be Rs 2 lakh. For this, 12 carats (baskets containing fruits and vegetables) of one thousand rupees each will also be provided to the e-rickshaw beneficiaries.
Cold rooms will be built in 10 market committees to keep fruits and vegetables: On behalf of the department, the facility of cold form will be provided to the farmers to keep the fruits and vegetables safe for a long time.
Under this, cold rooms will be set up in 10 market committees (APMCs) of the state on behalf of the Directorate of Horticulture.
The cost of a cold room is said to be Rs 3.24 lakh. There are plans to set up 10-10 cold rooms of similar cost in rural markets as well. About 50 carats (fruit and vegetable basket) will be given for a cold room.
2.44 lakh farmers will get the benefit of the scheme: The benefits of the Post Harvest and Preservation Infrastructure Development Scheme to be launched by the Jharkhand government will be provided to 2.44 lakh farmers of the state.
Let us inform you that 2.44 lakh farmers are registered in the state under e-NAM. Under e-NAM, more than 29 thousand farmers are registered in Pakur. At the same time, the least number of farmers are registered in Chaibasa.
What is e-NAM (National Agricultural Market): Agricultural markets (e-mandi) have been opened across the country by the Modi government at the Center to ensure that farmers get good prices for their products like fruits and vegetables in the market.
This is known as the National Agricultural Market or e-Nam. It was launched on April 14, 2016. By registering under this, the farmer can sell his produce (crop) anywhere in the country at a good price. Let us inform you that till now the government has connected 585 mandis of the country under e-NAM.
The small farmer’s Agribusiness Association (SFAC) working under the Union Ministry of Agriculture is the largest organization to implement e-NAM.
In this registration form, you have to enter some information such as farmer registration type, Aadhar number, bank details, date of birth of the applicant, name of the applicant, etc.
After entering all these details, the copy of the canceled check or copy of the passbook, or scanned copy of ID proof will have to be uploaded.
After uploading the details and documents, click on the submit button.
The printout of the application form must be taken after completion of the registration process. Keep it with you.
