Retail Tractor Market Declines in Feb 2025 – Key Brand Insights
In February 2025, FADA released retail tractor sales data. As a result, 65,574 tractors were sold in February 2025. This was 14.50% lower than February 2024 when 76,693 units were sold, suggesting that India’s tractor industry may be headed for a dip in sales.

Tractor Sales Performance by Brand – February 2025
Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (Tractor Division) sold 15,510 units of its power tiller from February 2025 to February 2024, down 11.35%. However, this division gained 0.84% market share in comparison to the previous year.
The Swraj Division of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited posts 12,737 units in sales, dropping 9.82% from the 14,124 grasshoppers it sold in February 2024. Despite this shrinkage, the company actually swelled its market share by a full 1.00 percentage points to stand at 19.42%.
In February 2025, International Tractors (Sonalika Tractor) Limited suffered a 15.28% drop in sales to 8,350 units. This was compared with an effort of 9,856 machines the previous February. What impact did it have on the company’s market share? It decreased by 0.12%.
In February 2025, TAFE Limited put 6,578 power tillers on the market. Two years ago, they had 8,313 units in February 2024—thus, it seems that following a 20.87% decrease over this period, sales have lost some ground. The company’s market share also dropped by 0.81%.
Escorts Kubota Limited (Agri Machinery Group) sold 6,575 units in December 2025 as compared to 7,457 filmed machines in November’s issue. In other words, 11.83% fewer were actually purchased. Still, the organization widened its market share by 0.31% and made an overall improvement relative to the previous year.
John Deere India Pvt Ltd (Tractor Division) moved 5,093 tractors in February 2025 as compared to 5,893 units in February 2024; this is a drop of 13.58%. John’s market share actually grew by 0.09 percentage points at the same time.
Eicher Tractors had a precipitous 23.81% drop in sales, with 4,092 units in February 2025 as compared to 5,371 last February. The company’s market share also decreased by 0.76%.
In February 2025, CNH Industrial (India) Pvt Ltd. put 2,694 power tillers on sale; yet two years later, the products could be found nowhere to buy in-store. This is a 10.79% drop from their total sales of 3,020 machines during February 2024. Despite this, it actually increased its market share by 0.17%.
Kubota Agricultural Machinery India Pvt. Ltd. shipped 1,016 units in February 2025 as compared to 1,741 pieces last year. So the company sold just over half as many of them which means that sales have been really bad over this period of time. It was a substantial 41.64% drop. As a result, their market share shrank by 0.72%.
In February 2025 other brand sales totaled 2,929 tractors, down from February 2024’s 3,423 units by 14.43%. But while their collective market share dropped slightly just 0.01%.
