Gerbera and Gladius Flowers: Young farmers Sachin Gerbera and Gladius are earning well by cultivating flowers in the Lutiyatari village of Mohanpur block area of ​​the Deoghar district.

Flowers are being sent from here to Godda, Hazaribagh, Sahibganj, and other districts. 

The specialty of these flowers is that once planted, its plant gives flowers for years. When it is planted for the first time, it takes three months to get ready. After that, flowering starts. 

You can pluck flowers from its plant again and again. Every time the flower is made, it will come. After that, the flowers gradually decrease.

Sachin was made available for the first time by Satish Yadav, a garden friend of the Yuyah Flower Garden Department. After which Sachin started cultivating Gerbera and Gladius flowers. 

Water consumption is less in this flower. It is more fertile for upland soil because the flower gets spoiled in the soil which is more waterlogged.

The demand for this flower is mostly for decoration. It is used in bouquets. Earlier, Sachin used to cultivate only paddy and wheat.

 But after joining floriculture, his income also started increasing and farmers from nearby areas are also doing flower farming inspired by them. 

Sachin says that the Horticulture Department and Udyan Mitra also contributed a lot to cultivating flowers. 

He said that flower plants were made available on a grant from the Horticulture Department and training is also given from time to time and now he is doing good farming.
