Escorts Kubota Celebrates Farmtrac’s 30 Years With New 6055 Dark Edition

The Farmtrac tractor brand has completed 30 years in India, and Escorts Kubota has marked the milestone with two new product introductions. The company has launched the Farmtrac 6055 Classic ‘Dark Edition’ and expanded its PROMAXX lineup under the new PROMAXX 2.0 range.

The 6055 Classic ‘Dark Edition’ becomes the first all-black tractor in Farmtrac’s portfolio. The 55 HP category tractor will be available in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. Meanwhile, the updated PROMAXX range includes the 47 HT PROMAXX and 50 PROMAXX, with both models offered in 2WD and 4WD options.

What New Farmtrac Tractors Were Introduced?

The Farmtrac 6055 Classic ‘Dark Edition’ is aimed at farmers looking for a powerful machine for demanding agricultural operations. It comes with a four-cylinder, 3,682 cc engine that produces maximum torque of 247 Nm.

Furthermore, the tractor gets a heavy-duty hydraulic lift with a lifting capacity of 2,500 kg. It also features LED lighting and a heat shield. The company says the tractor is designed for progressive farmers and larger farms that require higher productivity and durability.

The 6055 Classic ‘Dark Edition’ can work with several modern farm implements. These include super seeders, laser levellers, reversible moldboard ploughs, rotavators and harrows. It is also suitable for heavy haulage applications.

Escorts Kubota launched the Farmtrac brand in India in 1995. Today, its tractor portfolio covers the 26 HP to 60 HP range.

How Does the PROMAXX 2.0 Range Expand Farmtrac’s Portfolio?

The PROMAXX 2.0 range adds two models: the 47 HT PROMAXX and the 50 PROMAXX. They are positioned for farmers who need higher torque and greater capability for modern agricultural applications.

Both tractors use Farmtrac’s 3,514 cc HT, or High Torque, engine. The engine delivers up to 230 Nm of torque. In addition, the tractors feature a 12 forward and 3 reverse gearbox.

The new PROMAXX models also offer a creeper speed option and a spacious flat platform designed to improve operator comfort. Both models are available in 2WD and 4WD variants.

According to the company, demand in the 41 HP to 50 HP segment is increasingly moving towards 4WD tractors and higher-torque machines. This trend is being driven by farmers taking up more demanding applications.

Farmtrac Focuses on Modern Farming Needs

Escorts Kubota said the latest launches reflect its focus on application-led products. The company operates three tractor brands in India — Kubota, Farmtrac and Powertrac — serving different market segments.

Company officials also highlighted changing farmer preferences. Growing mechanisation and the entry of younger people into agriculture have increased demand for tractors that combine performance, comfort and modern styling.

The PROMAXX 2.0 range addresses these requirements through its HT engine, creeper speed option and flat platform. Meanwhile, the 6055 Classic ‘Dark Edition’ combines a distinctive black design with a 55 HP power category and heavy-duty capabilities.

What Happens Next for the New Farmtrac Models?

Both new offerings will reach customers through Farmtrac’s authorised dealer network. The company expects the launches to support its presence across important horsepower categories and strengthen the Farmtrac brand among progressive farming communities.

With the 6055 Classic ‘Dark Edition’ and PROMAXX 2.0 models, Farmtrac is expanding its choices for farmers seeking tractors suited to modern and demanding agricultural work.
