Domestic tractor sales for Mahindra Tractors were 20,138 units in August 2022 compared to 19,997 in August 2021. The results for Mahindra Tractor Domestic Sales indicate an increase of 0.71%. Additionally, the company reported a 0.97% increase in market share this month.
Hemant Sikka, President of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Sector, commented on the results: “We have delivered 20,138 tractors in the domestic market for August 2022, representing an increase of 1% over the previous year. Overall, the monsoon has been good, 8% above than LPA, but the geographical extent has been poor in the paddy states of eastern India, affecting paddy sowing. We are hopeful that buying tractors on auspicious days throughout the holiday season would stimulate demand as farmers begin to get ready for harvesting operations. We are geared up for a spike in tractor demand throughout the holiday season. We sold 1,382 tractors in the export market, an increase of 1% from the previous year.
With 9,601 domestic tractor sales in August 2022 compared to 9,746 in August 2021, TAFE Group reported a 1.49% decline in domestic tractor sales. TAFE Group also kept its market share constant this month, increasing it by 0.07%.
In this month, Sonalika Tractors had a double-digit increase. Sales of Sonalika tractors reached 7,014 units in August 2022 and 5,814 units in August 2021, respectively. Sonalika’s market share increased by 2.48% in August 2022.
In August 2022, Escorts Group reported a 7.89% increase in domestic tractor sales. In August 2022 and August 2021, the company sold 5,308 and 4,920 units, respectively. The Escorts Group also increased their market share by 0.91%.
Sales of John Deere tractors fell by 36.31% in August 2022. Tractor sales were 4,559 units for the company in August 2022 and 7,158 units in August 2021. Additionally, the market share of John Deere tractors declined by 4.68% this month.
Domestic sales for the New Holland Tractor Company increased little in August 2022, by 0.93%. In August 2022, they sold 2,063 units, while in August 2021, they sold 2,044 domestic tractors. Additionally, they had a 0.11% increase in market share this month.
According to domestic sales data from Kubota, 1,802 units were sold in August 2022, while 1,150 units were sold in August 2021. They announced a remarkable increase in tractor sales of 56.70%. Additionally, the market share of Kubota Tractors climbed by 1.28%.
Sales of Preet tractors dropped 17.90% in the local market. In contrast to the 609 units sold in August 2021, the business sold 500 units of tractors in August 2022. In August 2022, Preet Tractor likewise had a decline in market share of 0.19%.
Sales of domestic tractors fell by 9.92% at Indo Farm Tractor, who sold 454 units in August 2022 compared to 504 units in August 2021. Additionally, the market share of the company fell by 0.08%.

With sales of 213 units compared to 205 units in August 2021, ACE Tractor sales increased by about 3.90% in August 2022. Additionally, the firm’s domestic market share rose by 0.02%.
In August 2022, SDF Tractor sold 67 units, compared to August 2021 when 200 units were sold. This is a 66.50% decline in SDF domestic tractor sales. This time, the company’s market share decreased by 0.25%.
