India’s Tractor Industry Crosses 10.5 Lakh Sales in FY26

The Indian tractor industry recorded strong growth in FY 2026, with total retail sales reaching 10,50,077 units, compared to 8,82,825 units in FY 2025, marking a robust 18.94% year-on-year increase.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (Tractor Division) maintained its leadership position, selling 2,49,973 units and capturing a 23.81% market share, slightly higher than 23.57% in FY 2025. Its Swaraj Division followed with 1,96,975 units, holding an 18.76% share, marginally up from 18.75% last year.

International Tractors Limited (Sonalika) secured the third spot with 1,34,030 units, accounting for a 12.76% market share, though slightly lower than 13.04% in FY 2025.

Khetigaadi

TAFE Limited reported strong growth, selling 1,18,326 units and improving its share to 11.27% from 11.24%. Escorts Kubota Limited (Agri Machinery Group) also performed well, with 1,14,468 units, increasing its market share to 10.90% from 9.93% last year.

John Deere India Pvt. Ltd. recorded 80,086 units, holding a 7.63% share, nearly stable compared to 7.64% in FY 2025. Eicher Tractors sold 65,215 units, with a 6.21% share, slightly down from 6.48%.

CNH Industrial (India) Pvt. Ltd. (New Holland) posted 47,122 units, improving its share to 4.49% from 4.05%. Meanwhile, the “Others” category accounted for 43,882 units, contributing 4.18% to the total market, down from 5.30% last year.

Overall, FY 2026 reflects strong demand across rural markets, continued mechanisation, and a positive momentum in the agricultural sector, driving consistent growth in the tractor industry.
