The Indian tractor industry recorded steady growth in March 2026, with total retail sales reaching 82,080 units, compared to 74,032 units in March 2025, reflecting a 10.87% year-on-year increase.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (Tractor Division) continued to dominate the market, retaining its leading position with 19,652 units sold, accounting for a 23.94% market share, slightly improving over 23.76% in March last year. Its Swaraj Division followed closely, registering 16,007 units and capturing a 19.50% share, marginally higher than 19.39% in March 2025.
International Tractors Limited (Sonalika) secured the third position with 10,194 units sold, holding a 12.42% market share, though slightly down from 12.52% last year.
Escorts Kubota Limited (Agri Machinery Group) reported strong performance with 8,926 units, increasing its market share to 10.87% from 10.38% a year ago. Similarly, TAFE Limited recorded 8,489 units, improving its share to 10.34% compared to 9.55% in March 2025.
John Deere India Pvt. Ltd. sold 6,460 units, accounting for a 7.87% market share, slightly lower than 7.98% last year. Eicher Tractors registered 4,661 units, with a 5.68% share, though marginally down from 6.15%.
CNH Industrial (India) Pvt. Ltd. (New Holland) posted 3,931 units, improving its market share to 4.79% from 4.09% in March 2025. Meanwhile, the “Others” category accounted for 3,760 units, contributing 4.58% to the total market, down from 6.18% last year.
The March growth reflects strong rural demand, rising mechanisation, and steady momentum across key agricultural markets.
