According to Hemant Sikka, President of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Sector, “We have sold 20,138 tractors in the domestic market during August 2022, up 1% from the same month last year. Overall, the monsoon has been good, 8% above than LPA, but the spatial distribution has been poor in the paddy states of eastern India, affecting paddy sowing. We are hopeful that buying tractors on auspicious days throughout the holiday season would stimulate demand as farmers begin to get ready for harvesting operations. We are geared up for a spike in tractor demand throughout the holiday season. We sold 1,382 tractors in the export market, an increase of 1% from the previous year.
