Escorts Kubota has started construction on a greenfield manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh. The total expected investment is than ₹2,000 crore. The factory will be built on 154 acres in Sector 10 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area in Gautam Buddha Nagar.
The project is part of Escorts Kubota’s long-term plan to increase its manufacturing capacity. The plant will be built in stages. It is expected to become one of the manufacturing facilities in the Kubota Group, around the world after all stages are finished.
What Will the New Escorts Kubota Plant Produce?
The company is building a manufacturing plant. This plant will make tractors, farm tools, construction equipment, and engines. These products will be sold in India and other countries.
The first part of the plan is to make up to 60,000 tractors and 15,000 construction equipment units every year. The company will also build things like roads and other facilities to support the plant. All of this will happen in this phase.
The money for this project will come from a share sale to Kubota Corporation that happened earlier. The company will also use its money that has saved over time. The new manufacturing plant will produce tractors and other things.
Why Is Uttar Pradesh Important for the Project?
The YEIDA people gave some land to Escorts Kubota after they got a Letter of Intent from the Government of Uttar Pradesh. This land is near the Yamuna Expressway and not far from the Noida International Airport at Jewar.
The place where the land is located is really good because it will be easy to move things around the country and also export them by road and air. The Escorts Kubota facility will also be close to a lot of engineers and suppliers in the National Capital Region.
The President and CEO of Kubota Corporation, Shingo Hanada said that India is very important for Kubota plans to grow until 2030. He also said that India is becoming a place for Kubota to make things and do engineering work all, around the world. The Escorts Kubota facility is going to play a role in this. How Will Investment Increase Production Capacity?
The new plant will really help Escorts Kubota make a lot of things. Now Escorts Kubota can make around 1,70,000 tractors and 10,000 construction equipment units every year.
Escorts Kubota Chairman and Managing Director Nikhil Nanda thinks this project is one of the things the company has ever done to make more things. He says the plant will help farmers and construction contractors over India and in other countries too.
