7 April 2025— In March 2025, FADA released retail tractor sales data. As a result, 74,013 tractors were sold in March 2025. This is a 5.71% decrease from March 2024, when 78,495 units were sold.

Tractor Sales Performance by Brand—March 2025.
The Tractor Division of Mahindra & Mahindra Limited held on to its top position, selling 17,583 units in March 2025 and claiming a 23.76% market share. However, this was gained 0.90% from the March 2024 figure of 17,495 units with 22.86% shares.
The Mahindra & Mahindra’s Swaraj division secured the second spot with a total of 14,345 sales and a market share of 19.38% in March 2025. This number was slightly lower in March 2024, when it sold 14,487 units and had a market share of 18.46%.
International Tractor Limited, Sonalika is in the third position with sales of 9,262 units and a market share of 12.51% in March 2025. However, this has decreased by 0.68% from the figure of 10,354 units with a share of 13.19% in March 2024.
TAFE Limited, the manufacturer of Massey Ferguson tractors, sold a total of 7,059 units in March 2025 and captured a 9.54% market share. In the previous March 2024, it sold 9,062 units and captured an 11.54% share. Therefore, March 2025 sales are 2.00% decreased.
Escorts Kubota Limited (Agri Machinery Group) sold 7,685 units in March 2025, with a market share of 10.38%, while in March 2024, this share was 9.63% and 7,560 units were sold. However, sales have 0.75%. increased in March 2025.
John Deere India Private Limited (Tractor Division) sold 5,931 units in March 2025, giving it a market share of 8.01%. This number was slightly lower, 0.85%, in March 2024, when it sold 5,624 units, giving it a market share of 7.16%.
Eicher tractor sales in March 2025 fell to 4,547 units, with a market share of 6.14%, from 5,279 units and a market share of 6.73% in March 2024. However, sales decreased by 0.59% in March 2025.
CNH Industrial (India) Pvt. Ltd. saw a 9.89% drop in sales in March 2025, selling 3,026 units as opposed to 3,358 units in March 2024. In comparison to March 2024, its market share decreased by 0.19%.
In March 2025, Kubota Agricultural Machinery India Pvt. Ltd. sold 1,118 units, a 29.77% decrease from the 1,592 units sold in March 2024. In comparison to March 2024, the company’s market share dropped by 0.52%.
With 3,457 units sold in March 2025 compared to 3,234 units in March 2024, sales of other brands increased by 6.90%. As a result, their market share grew by 0.55% from March 2024.
