FADA released retail tractor sales data on July 5, 2024. The report shows that 71,029 tractors were sold in June 2024, down from 99,148 units in June 2023. This represents a 28.36% decline in tractor sales in India for June 2024.

In June 2024, Mahindra recorded sales of 16,333 tractors, a decrease from the 21,646 tractors sold in June 2023. This represents a substantial 24.54% decline in sales. Despite this decline, the company’s market share increased by 1.16% in June 2024.

Swaraj Tractor, a division of Mahindra & Mahindra, experienced a 16.97% decline in sales compared to June 2023. The brand sold 13,283 units in June 2024, down from 15,997 units in the same month the previous year. Nonetheless, Swaraj Tractor’s market share rose by 2.57%.
Sonalika Tractors, also known as International Tractors Limited, experienced a notable decline in sales.. In June 2024, the company sold 9,244 tractors in India, a 27.55% decrease from the 12,759 units sold in June 2023. Despite this, their market share increased by 0.14%.
In June 2024, TAFE Limited improved its market share by 0.87% despite selling 22.81% fewer tractors, with 8,646 units sold compared to 11,201 in June 2023.
Escorts Tractor sold 7,536 units in June 2024, down from 10,215 units in June 2023, marking a 26.23% decline in sales. However, the company’s market share increased by 0.31% in June 2024.
John Deere Tractor saw a significant drop in sales, with 5,520 units sold in June 2024 compared to 8,291 units in June 2023, indicating a 33.42% decline. Additionally, the company experienced a 0.59% decrease in market share in June 2024.
Eicher Tractors sold 4,625 units in June 2024, slightly lower than the 4,983 units sold in June 2023. This represents a 7.18% decline in sales, although the company saw a 1.48% increase in market share.
CNH INDUSTRIAL (INDIA) PVT LTD recorded sales of 2,863 units in June 2024, a significant drop from the 5,572 units sold in June 2023, representing a 48.62% decline. The company’s market share also decreased by 1.59% during this period.
Kubota Tractor sold 1,218 units in June 2024, down from 1,733 units in June 2023, reflecting a 29.72% decrease in sales and a 0.04% drop in market share compared to the previous year.
Other brands collectively experienced a 73.91% decline in sales, with 1,761 units sold in June 2024 compared to 6,751 units in June 2023. Consequently, their market share decreased by 4.33% in June 2024.
