The Prime Minister has signed; now farmer will get Rs. 8000, Khatakhat! Khatakhat!! 

The annual financial aid for farmer from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has been increased from Rs 6000 to Rs 8000. After the bill signed yesterday/(10 June) by Prime Minister Narenda Modi, wondering what you need to do to receive this increased amount? Let’s break it down:

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Boosting India’s Farmer

India relies heavily on agriculture, and to support small-scale farmers who often don’t see large profits, the government launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in 2019. This scheme provides direct financial benefits to farmers, helping them with their essential needs.

What’s the Current Benefit?
Under this scheme, farmers receive Rs 6000 annually, credited directly to their bank accounts in three installments of Rs 2000 every four months. But there’s good news for Rajasthan farmers – this amount has now been increased!

Rajasthan Government’s New Announcement

Yesterday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced that the state government will add an extra Rs 2000 per year to the existing scheme. This means Rajasthan farmers will now receive a total of Rs 8000 annually.

Who Benefits?
This increase benefits around 57 lakh farmers in Rajasthan, providing more financial support to those who need it. The state government will incur an additional expenditure of Rs 1100 crore annually due to this increase, but it’s a significant step towards supporting the farming community.

How Will This Work?

Previously, under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmers received Rs 6000 annually. With the Rajasthan government’s new contribution, farmers will now get Rs 8000 annually. The additional Rs 2000 from the state will be seamlessly integrated into the existing system.

16 Installments Already Released
So far, the government has released 16 installments under this scheme, benefiting 9 crore farmers nationwide. A total of Rs 3 lakh crore has been disbursed. Farmers are now eagerly awaiting the 17th installment, which is expected to be released soon.

No Extra Steps Required!
Farmers in Rajasthan do not need to take any additional steps to receive this increased benefit. The amount will be automatically credited to their accounts as per the usual schedule.
