Know how to check your name in the Food Safety List: The period of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana has been extended by the Modi government of the Center.

Under this scheme, the facility of free ration was given to the beneficiaries only till March 31, but now it has been extended for six months.

80 crore people of the country will benefit from this scheme. Let us inform you that the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was launched in the midst of the first wave of the corona epidemic, in which free food grains and pulses were distributed to the ration card holders. 

But now only food grains are distributed in this scheme. In this, 5 kg of food grains are given per person every month. 

The benefit of this scheme was especially given to the middle class people including poor and economically weak people. To take advantage of this scheme, you must have a ration card.

Extended plan period several times: PM Modi had run this scheme to provide relief to the poor people in the lockdown during the Corona transition. Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was started by the central government in 2020. 

After this the duration of this scheme was extended several times. Now once again this date has been extended. Now this scheme will be run till September 30, 2022.

Who can take advantage of this scheme: The benefit of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana is given to those people who are living below the poverty line and are financially weak. 

Apart from this, middle class people can also take advantage of this scheme. Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries are given 5 kg of wheat or rice per person.

This is separate from the quota received by the beneficiary. That is, the beneficiary can also take advantage of the free ration available under this scheme after taking his prescribed quota from his ration card.

Distribution of ration done through one country, one ration card: Food grains were distributed to the people across the country through the One Nation, One Ration Card scheme by the government. In this, states like Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh have registered the maximum limit of state portability transactions for the distribution of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana from the first phase to the fourth phase. 

Similarly, Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand recorded the maximum number of international portability transactions under this scheme from Phase I to IV.

PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana: Three types of ration cards are issued: Under the One Nation, One Ration Card scheme by the government, ration cards have been divided into three categories across the country. 

In some states it has changed slightly. It is divided into APL, BPL and Antyodaya based on the economic condition of the poor people. For this reason, a difference has also been kept in the colors of these ration cards. 

This has been done so that the benefit of government ration can be provided to the people on the basis of their economic condition. These three types of ration cards are as follows-

apl card: These cards are given to those people who come in the above poverty line category. The color of such ration cards is blue. With this type of ration card, a person can buy up to 15 kg of grains for his family in a month at an affordable price.

bpl card: This card is given to those people whose standard of living comes below the poverty line. The color of this card is red. Through this card, a person can get up to 25 kg of food grains per month for his family at an affordable rate.

AAY Card: These cards are provided to those who are very poor families. These people have been kept under Antyodaya Yojana. This card is available in yellow color. Through this card, a family can take up to 35 kg of food grains from the ration quota.

• First of all you have to go to the official website of Uttar Pradesh Food and Logistics Department. 
• After that the homepage of the website will open in front of you. As soon as the website opens, click on the National Food Security Act (NFSA) eligibility list.
• After this a new page will open in front of you in which the list of all the districts will be there.
• Now click on the district you belong to.
• Again a new page will come in which the list of rural and cities will be there.
• Click on the town you live in.
• Now again a new page will open in front of you in which the name of the shopkeeper and ration card number will be given.
• Now you have to click on the card number given in front of your shopkeeper’s name.
• As soon as you click on it, another list will open in front of you. It will contain the digitized ration card number and complete details of the holder’s card.
• Now click on the card number in front of your name.
• By clicking on it, all the information about your ration card will come in front of you.
• You can also download this ration card list according to your need and take a print out of it.
