Empowering through drones:
The Prime Minister distributed drones to 1,000 Namo Drone Didi’s and observed their impressive demonstrations during the event. Furthermore, Bank Linkage Camps in each district facilitated the disbursement of approximately Rs 8,000 crore in bank loans at subsidized interest rates to Self Help Groups (SHGs). An additional Rs 2,000 crore was allocated as Capitalization Support Fund to SHGs, benefiting a multitude of beneficiaries.
Prime Minister Modi marked the occasion as historic, recognizing the pioneering contributions of Drone Didi’s and Lakshapati Didi’s in shaping the nation’s trajectory of success. He commended their resilience and determination, expressing his confidence in their capacity to guide the nation towards advancement. He lauded the determination and perseverance of Nari Shakti, affirming that it inspired him to initiate the mission of creating 3 crore Lakshapati Didi’s.

The Prime Minister underscored the importance of fostering opportunities and preserving the dignity of women in society. He outlined several government initiatives focused on empowering women at various stages of their lives, ranging from the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao program to ensuring maternity benefits and fostering entrepreneurship through schemes such as the Mudra Yojana.

Prime Minister Modi applauded the significant progress of self-help groups (SHGs) in India, crediting their achievements to the diligent efforts and commitment of women. He commended their contributions to rural development and infrastructure, highlighting their essential role in nation-building.
