Krishak Bharti Cooperative( KRIBHCO) has recently collaborated with CSC e-Governance in order to provide Agri inputs to farmers with an aim of targeting four lakh, village-level entrepreneurs.

These Agri inputs included fertilizers and other Agri inputs for the benefit of the farmers. In order to produce imported fertilizers like urea, bio-fertilizer, DAP, NPK/NPS, certified seeds, zinc sulphate, hybrid seeds, and potash derived from molasses is facilitated by Common Services Centres which will help in the distribution and sales of products.
KRIBHCO is involved with importing and marketing fertilizers, seeds, and Agri inputs and the business of manufacturing fertilizers products.
At the beginning of this year, CSC with the formulation of VLEs and Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) has set up an Agri services platform to facilitate agriculture inputs like manure, seeds, pesticides, trading of Agri inputs, hire or rent different farm implements, and machines, etc.
On the amalgamation, Dinesh Tyagi a CSC e-Governance Services India Ltd. Managing Direction commented that “Our alliance with KRIBHCO is a step ahead in furthering the agenda of the government in serving the farmers and agricultural community.”
“An important aspect of our activities at CSCs and the partnership will help us reach out to farmers and citizens in the villages with timely supply of reliable and quality Agri inputs,” is based on the delivery of several fertilizers, seeds, and other Agri Inputs.
On the other hand the Managing Director of KRIBHCO, Rajan Choudhary stated that this partnership will usher in a new era where farmers can get cost-effective Agri inputs at the click of a smartphone, mouse, and, thereby promoting ‘Digital India.
The main aim is to change “agriculture producers” to “agriculture entrepreneurs” by the FPOs works as agribusiness retailers that ensure with the help of the farming community.
