District Central Cooperative Banks: ₹17,487 crore (₹11,242 crore disbursed so far)
Public Sector Urban Rural Banks: ₹33,651 crore (₹5,916 crore disbursed so far)
Private and Small Finance Banks: ₹7,950 crore (₹1,501 crore disbursed so far)
In total, ₹18,659 crore has been disbursed, benefiting over 20.55 lakh farmers. The goal for this year is to distribute loans to 70 lakh farmers. Last year, ₹43,973 crore was disbursed to 17 lakh farmers by the end of September.
Wardha Bank is back in action
After 12 years, the Wardha District Central Cooperative Bank is back and financially stable. It now joins other banks in distributing crop loans.
The Wardha District Central Cooperative Bank has significantly improved its financial situation. After facing a potential license cancellation by the RBI due to negative cash value, a committee led by the District Collector managed to turn things around. The bank now has a positive cash value, enabling it to resume loan distributions.
Report any issues with the CIBIL
If you face any issues with banks forcing you to use CIBIL for crop loans, report it to the cooperative department immediately or write to us on connect@khetigaadi.com. The state government and the State Level Bankers Committee have clearly instructed banks not to impose this requirement.
