63 Integrated Farming System models are created by ICAR involving ICAR Institutes, State Agri Universities and Farming community of 18 states. The models have been created with an aim of increasing farmer’s income by 2-3 times in 3-4 years are suitable to the country.

In 12 states 51 organic cropping systems are developed by the Indian Council Of Agricultural Research by providing the benefits from the improvement in soil organic carbon, Suitability for multi-tier farming, the cropping intensity must be improved, 30-72 reduction in input cost, Employment generation and Better Sustainability.

The Minister stated that In India a network of 722 KVKs established at the district levels and help in the promotion of the new and improved levels of farming. In the last one year 16 lac farmers are trained under the KVKs.

On various crops, livestocks and other enterprises KVKs executed 2.44 lack frontline demonstrations and 10.95 lac extension activities are organized during the last one year.

Under Vikas Yojana, 411 Krishi Vigyan Kendras have been implemented since 2019-20 covering the area of 8222 ha. 22240 farmers are trained on the different aspects of organic farming.
The Minister also mentioned the 910 crops of varieties that are resistant to diseases and the bad weather conditions.
