In March 2024, domestic tractor sales in India decreased by 22.67%.  The brands managed to sell 63,755 tractors in March 2024, down from the 82,450 tractors sold in March 2023. Despite this decrease, industry insiders are optimistic about a notable increase in sales in the upcoming season.

March 2024 Domestic Tractor Sales Report – Brand-wise

In March 2024, Mahindra Tractor, India’s leading tractor manufacturer, recorded sales of 24,276 units. This marked a decrease of 27.80% compared to March 2023, when the company sold 33,622 tractors. Furthermore, Mahindra witnessed a 2.70% decline in its market share during this timeframe.

TAFE domestic tractor sales in March 2024 reached 10878 units, a 20.45% decrease from the previous year, when they sold 13674 tractors in March 2023. Additionally, TAFE’s market share is 0.48%.

In March 2024, Sonalika International sold 8,682 tractors, showing a minor decline from the 10,616 tractors sold in March 2023. This indicates an 18.22% decrease in sales for the brand. Additionally, the data reveals a 0.74% increase in Sonalika International’s market share.

Escorts sold 8,054 tractors, marking a 16.11% decrease from the tractor sales in March 2023, which totaled 9,601 tractors. Conversely, the company saw an increase of 0.99 in its market share.

In March 2024, John Deere sold 5,523 tractors, marking a 6.88% decline from the previous year’s sales of 5,931 units. Additionally, the brand experienced an increase in market share, rising by 1.47%.

In March 2024, New Holland sold 3,062 tractors, reflecting a 17.40% decline from the previous year when 3,707 units were sold. Despite this decrease, the brand experienced a positive growth of 0.31% in its market share.

Kubota sold 1,301 tractors, indicating a significant decrease of 48.90% compared to March 2023 when the sales reached 2,546 units. Simultaneously, the company’s market share also decreased by 1.05%.

Captain Tractor sold 482 tractors in March 2024, a significant drop in sales from March 2023 of 3.79%. In addition, the brand’s market share decreased by a negligible 0.15%.

475 tractors were sold in March 2024, according to the VST domestic sales report, a 17.25% drop from the 574 tractors sold in the same month in 2023. According to reports, the brand’s market share is 0.05%.

Preet domestic tractor sales witnessed a significant decrease of 33.72%, with 462 tractors sold in March 2024 compared to 697 units in March 2023. The report also highlights a minor downward trend of 0.12% in market share.

In March 2024, Indo Farm tractors witnessed a substantial 33.66% decline in domestic tractor sales, with 412 units sold compared to the 621 units sold in March 2023. The company also lost 0.11% of its market share during this month.

There was a startling 67.88% drop in ACE tractor domestic sales from 274 tractors sold in March 2023 to just 88 tractors in March 2024. Additionally, ACE tractors’ market share decreased by 0.19%.

SDF tractor domestic sales in March 2024 declined by 30.23%, selling 60 units compared to 86 tractors in March 2023. Consequently, the market share decreased by 0.01%.

The total domestic tractor sales for March 2024 amounted to 63,755 units, down from 82,450 units sold in March 2023. This resulted in a decrease of 22.67% in domestic tractor sales for March 2024.
