India’s tractor market saw a strong rise in sales in January 2026. The latest industry figures show that a total of 1,14,759 tractors were sold. This is much higher than the 93,386 units sold in January 2025. This growth shows that farmers are buying more farm equipment this year.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited remains the market leader. The company’s main tractor division sold 26,006 tractors in January 2026. This gave it a 22.66% market share, slightly lower than its share last year. The Swaraj division of Mahindra also did well, selling 21,920 tractors. Swaraj’s market share rose from 18.57% in 2025 to 19.10% in 2026.

International Tractors Limited performed steadily. It sold 15,379 tractors and had a 13.40% market share. This was slightly higher than last year. TAFE Limited also saw good demand, selling 13,459 tractors. TAFE’s share of the market was 11.73%, similar to its share last year.

Khetigaadi

Escorts Kubota Limited registered strong growth. It sold 12,313 units and its market share increased to 10.73%. This was higher than the 9.78% share in January 2025. John Deere India sold 8,082 tractors in January 2026. However, its market share saw a small dip from 7.08% to 7.04%.

Eicher Tractors reported good sales growth. It sold 7,815 tractors and improved its market share from 6.38% to 6.81%. CNH Industrial (India) also grew. It sold 5,387 tractors, increasing its share from 4.29% to 4.69%.

Smaller tractor makers, grouped under “Others,” sold 4,398 tractors. Their market share fell from 5.48% last year to 3.83%. This shows that smaller brands are losing ground to bigger players.

The overall tractor market grew by more than 22% compared to January 2025. This rise points to improving rural demand and steady farm income. Experts say farmers are investing more in machines to raise productivity.
