There was strong growth for the Indian tractor market during August 2025 posting total sales of 85,215 units compared to 65,477 units in August 2024, this represents a substantial year-on-year growth.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (Tractor Division) retained its numero uno position with 20,156 units sold, to clinch 23.65% market share, slightly lower than 24.72% last August. Its Swaraj Division was a close second with 15,418 units and 18.09% market share (18.67% in August 2024).
TAFE Limited was the only other company that recorded very impressive expansion, disposing of 11,028 units with 12.94 % market share compared to 10.87 % during 2006. International Tractors Limited occupied the third spot with 10,410 units and a market share of 12.22%, compared to 12.98 per cent last year.
Escorts Kubota Limited (Agri Machinery Group) recorded a strong sale of 8,662 units thereby resulting in an increase in market share to 10.16% as against 8.96% in August 2024. Tractor Division of John Deere India managed to sell 5,987 units with 7.03% market share compared to 8.09% in 2018.
Eicher Tractors enhanced volumes to 5,958 units, as against 6.39% a year ago and 6.99% market share. CNH Industrial (India) Pvt. Ltd., whose market share also increased to 4.58% from 3.90% in August 2024 and sold 3,900 units.
The sales of other tractor makers constituted 3,696 units and 4.34% share as against 5.42% same month year before.
The increase in the industry level is symptomatic of the high farm-machinery demand witnessed from good monsoon, positive rural market sentiment and increase in the mechanization of farming.
