2) Massive Farmer Turnout
Over the three days, more than 59,000 farmers visited the exhibition, hailing from districts including Patna, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Munger, and Araria. The fair, with its free entry, provided an inclusive platform for farmers to explore, learn, and adopt new technologies.
3) Subsidies on Agricultural Equipment
On the third day alone, the government offered ₹57.55 lakh in subsidies for 132 pieces of equipment and two agricultural equipment banks. The cumulative market value of these purchases reached ₹1.50 crore. Over three days, subsidies were extended for nine agricultural equipment banks, highlighting the state’s commitment to agricultural modernization.
4) Empowering Farmers Through Knowledge

- Usage and benefits of modern agricultural tools from sowing to harvesting.
- Scientific cultivation techniques for fruits and vegetables.
- Application and potential of agri-drones for enhancing agricultural productivity.
This educational initiative aimed to equip farmers with practical insights into improving crop yield and adopting sustainable farming practices.
Farmer Perspectives: A Transformational Initiative
Farmers at the fair expressed their enthusiasm for adopting advanced machinery at subsidized prices. Many noted that access to these tools would not only reduce labor-intensive work but also boost efficiency and yield.
Bhushan Singh from Lakhisarai remarked, “The Farm Machinery Bank grant has come as a boon. It will help small farmers like us access advanced tools without bearing the full cost.”
Promoting Sustainable Agriculture
The Krishi Yantra Mela is a step towards achieving sustainable agricultural practices. By making mechanized farming accessible through subsidies and training, the state is bridging the gap between traditional and modern farming methods. This initiative aligns with the government’s vision of improving farm productivity and enhancing the livelihoods of small and marginal farmers.
