• 75% Subsidy: Available for individuals from extremely backward classes, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes who are starting a dairy unit with 2 or 4 high-breed milch cattle or calf-heifers. 

• 50% Subsidy: Offered to animal keepers from other classes for starting a dairy unit with 2 or 4 milch cattle or calf-heifers. 

• 40% Subsidy: Provided for all classes who establish a dairy unit with 15 or 20 milch cattle or calf-heifers. 

These subsidies are designed to reduce the financial risk associated with starting a dairy business and make it more feasible for a broader range of individuals.

For those residing in Bihar, the Samagra Gavya Vikas Yojana offers a streamlined application process. Interested parties can apply online through the Bihar Gavya Vikas Directorate’s website at milk.bihar.gov.in.
