JK Tyre & Industries, an important player in Indian tyre business, received recognition for its water conservation efforts at the 6th Indians in the Kolkata Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Social Impact Awards on March 14, 2024, in New Delhi. The majority vote by the judges declared JK Tyre’s Water Conservation Project the winner in Clean Water and Sanitation category. Head of IR & CSR of JK Tyre & Industries, Mr. BS Dagar, received the award from the Honorable Governor of West Bengal, Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose.
JK Tyre has started many water conservation projects in nearby villages as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects, helping the local community to achieve water self-sufficiency. In the past five years, the company has constructed over 100 water-saving buildings, improving the community’s access to water sources. Through these projects, water conservation behaviors have improved for over 200,000 people, resulting in significant benefits.
