Escorts Kubota tractor Sales stood at 15,214 units in September 2026, compared with 18,267 tractors sold in September 2025. The company reported a 16.7% year-on-year decline in total tractor sales.
The figures were released by Escorts Kubota Limited on October 1, 2026. Domestic sales stood at 14,911 tractors, while exports reached 303 units during the month.
The company said September 2026 sales were not directly comparable with the previous year because of a high base following the GST rate reduction in September 2025. It also cited the shift in the festive season to October 2026, patchy monsoon conditions, and relatively lower Kharif sowing.
What Drove Escorts Kubota Tractor Sales in September?
Escorts Kubota tractor sales in the domestic market declined to 14,911 units in September 2026 from 17,803 units in the same month last year. This represents a 16.2% year-on-year decline.
According to the company, the September 2025 base was elevated after the GST rate reduction. The festive season also shifted to October this year, affecting September demand.
Meanwhile, and relatively lower Kharif sowing also influenced market volumes. These factors made the September comparison weaker than the corresponding period last year.
However, the company expects festive demand and crop harvesting activity to support tractor industry volumes in the coming period. Improving rural liquidity is also expected to support demand.
Export Tractor Sales Decline 34.7%
Exports also recorded a decline during September 2026. Escorts Kubota exported 303 tractors, compared with 464 units in September 2025.
This represents a 34.7% year-on-year decline in export sales.
The company’s total tractor sales, including domestic and export volumes, stood at 15,214 units during the month. In comparison, the company sold 18,267 tractors in September 2025.

How Did Escorts Kubota Perform in Q2 FY27?
Despite the September decline, the company’s Q2 performance remained slightly higher year on year.
Between July and September 2026, Escorts Kubota sold 34,017 tractors, compared with 33,877 units in the same period of FY26. This represents a 0.4% increase.
Domestic sales during Q2 FY27 reached 32,628 tractors, up from 32,329 units in Q2 FY26. Domestic volumes therefore increased 0.9%.
Export sales, however, declined 10.3% to 1,389 tractors from 1,548 units in the corresponding quarter.
