Doubling agricultural shipments to over USD 60 billion by 2022 – Khetigaadi, Agriculture, Tractor * To keep govt’s promise of doubling farmer’s income, Cabinet approves agriculture export policy The policy would focus on all aspects of agricultural exports including modernising infrastructure, standardisation of products, streamlining regulations, curtailing knee-jerk decisions, and focusing on research and development activities.The policy aims at doubling agricultural shipments to over USD 60 billion by 2022. * West Bengal government’s paddy procurement scheme has got an encouraging response leading to an eight-time increase in procurement compared to last year. Government on 12th December has increased the Minimum Support Prices or MSPs of 22 Kharif and Rabi crops to a minimum of 50% returns over cost, informed the Agriculture Ministry. The government took the decision after considering the views and opinions of state governments.
