According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there was unseasonal rain with strong winds in the Bhandara district. This unseasonal rain has put the cultivation of leafy vegetables including rice, wheat, and gram at risk. Farmers are upset due to unseasonal rains. Meanwhile, the District Disaster Management Officer has appealed to the citizens to take precautions as there is a possibility of lightning.


Unseasonal hailstorm in Nanded district

Unseasonal rain and hail fell in the Nanded district. It is located in Mudkhed and Ardhapur talukas of the district. Horticulture has suffered heavy losses in Ardhapur taluka. A total of 543 hectares of crop have been destroyed in the taluk. Ardhapur has received 7.4 mm of rain. Mudkhed taluka has recorded the highest rainfall. Mudkhed taluka recorded 38.8 mm of rain. In this, 1235 hectares of horticulture have been damaged. 400 hectares of agricultural land have been damaged. A total of 3083 hectares of crops have been damaged in the taluk.

Pangrabandi, Ramraowadi, and Pimpleshenda areas of Malegaon taluka of Washim district have received unseasonal rain and thunderstorm and hailstorm. Agriculture has suffered huge losses in this. Vegetable crops including wheat, gram, lemon, orange, mango, and onion have suffered huge damage.
