After selling paddy, farmers can withdraw money from micro-ATM as per their need
The work of paddy procurement has started in many states of the country. In this regard, the Chhattisgarh government has provided the facility of micro-ATM to the farmers to withdraw money after selling paddy. To inspect the ongoing paddy procurement in Chhattisgarh, Cooperative Minister Kedar Kashyap inspected the Kendri Paddy Procurement Centre of Abhanpur development block. On this occasion, he checked the moisture of paddy with a moisture measuring device at the procurement centre.
He said that online and offline token system has been arranged to provide convenience to farmers in selling paddy. Farmers will not face any kind of problem in the token system. Along with this, lifting of paddy from paddy procurement centre will also be started soon.
Farmers can withdraw up to Rs 10,000 from micro-ATM
The Cooperative Minister told the farmers who came to sell paddy at the centre that Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, keeping in mind the immediate needs of the farmers, has provided the facility of withdrawing an amount of Rs 2000 to 10,000 through micro-ATM at the procurement centre itself. He appealed to the farmers to withdraw money from the micro-ATM, farmer Yogeshwar Sahu withdrew Rs 10,000, Jhaliram Sinha withdrew Rs 10,000 and other farmers withdrew money from the micro ATM in the presence of the minister.

Paddy is being purchased at Rs 3100 per quintal
On this occasion, the Cooperative Minister interacted with the farmers who had reached the procurement centre and inquired about the facilities and arrangements. He said that the Chhattisgarh government is working with commitment in the interest of the farmers. Paddy is being purchased from the farmers at Rs. 3100 per quintal. This will empower the farmers. The Chhattisgarh government is also working in a planned manner in the field of irrigation.
27 lakh farmers have registered to sell paddy
The paddy procurement campaign will continue till January 31, 2025. 27.68 lakh farmers have registered for the Kharif year. This includes 1.45 lakh new farmers. This year, 160 lakh metric tonnes of paddy is estimated to be procured through 2,739 procurement centres. Arrangements have been made to procure paddy through biometric devices in all procurement centres.
Paddy produced by small, marginal and big farmers will be purchased at the fixed support price. He said that adequate arrangements for gunny bags, shade, water etc. have been ensured at all the procurement centres. Helpline numbers have also been displayed at paddy procurement centres for complaints and redressal.
Special monitoring arrangements have been made in the border areas of the state and check posts have been established. At the state level, an investigation team of senior state level officials has been formed for different districts, who are continuously monitoring the paddy procurement taking place in the districts. After selling paddy, farmers can withdraw money from micro-ATM as per their need.
