The January 2024 Tractor Sales Report was produced by Mahindra & Mahindra. In the domestic market, the company sold 22972 units in January 2024 compared to 27626 units in January 2023. According to the company, domestic tractor sales will decline by 17% in 2024. However, Mahindra’s Tractor Sales Report for January 2024 also reveals a 25% decline in the export sector. In the export market, the company sold 976 units in January 2024 compared to 1300 units in January 2023.
The overall sales of Mahindra tractors were 23948 in January 2024 compared to 28926 in January 2023, indicating a 17% decrease in sales.

Year to Date (YTD) tractor sales data for 2024 from April to January was also released by Mahindra & Mahindra. In 2024, the company sold 320129 units in the domestic market, compared to 331290 units in 2023. According to the company, domestic tractor sales would decline by 3% in 2024. On the other side, Mahindra’s Year to Date Tractor Sales Report 2024 shown a 32% decline in the export sector.

President Hemant Sikka commented on the performance, saying, “We have sold 22972 tractors in the domestic market during January 2024.” Due to the slowdown in agricultural activity, retail momentum decreased. The main crop of wheat is anticipated to produce well throughout the rabi crop, thanks to the current cold weather. In the upcoming months, demand for tractors will be supported by the government’s pronouncement of a reasonable estimate of horticulture production and its ongoing support of the rural economy.
