The sowing of all cotton seeds in the state starts from April 15. In view of this, the Haryana government is providing financial help to the farmers before sowing so that the production of cotton can be increased in the state.

Under this, the government has now made a provision of giving a grant of Rs 3000 per acre to the farmers to increase the area under cotton and Rs 1000 per acre for integrated pest management and integrated nutrient management.

Let us inform you that last year cotton was cultivated in Rohtak district on behalf of the farmers in an area of ​​13354 acres. Which the state government wants to increase this year to 20 thousand acres. Instructions have also been given to the officers of the Agriculture Department to make available high quality seeds to the farmers.

This time in Haryana, the target is to sow cotton in an area of ​​19.25 acres.

Cotton is a major cash crop grown in Haryana in the Kharif season.

Cotton experts believe that if certified seeds of 50 cotton varieties notified by the Government of India and approved by the Government of Haryana are used during cotton sowing, then improved cotton cultivation can be achieved.

In this Kharif season 2022, the Agriculture Department has set a target of sowing cotton in an area of ​​19.25 acres in the state, which is more than last year. Let us tell you that in the last season, cotton was cultivated in about 15.90 acres in the state.

Let us tell you that cotton is cultivated mainly in Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, Jind, Sonipat, Palwal, Gurugram, Faridabad, Rewari, Charkhi, Dadri, Narnaul, Jhajjar, Panipat, Kaithal, Rohtak and Mewat districts. 

Registration for subsidy on cotton will start from April 25: As the Haryana government is working towards increasing the production of cotton in the state.

For this, a subsidy will be given to the farmers by the government. The farmers cultivating cotton, who want to get the subsidy, have to register on the Meri Crop Mera Byora Portal. 

Farmers can register themselves to get the grant from 25 April to 31 May. Let us tell you about the grant scheme, the officials of the Agriculture Department will make the farmers aware about applying online on the department’s portal. So that the area of ​​indigenous cotton can be increased in the state.

After this, you have to login to get the farmer registration form, for which enter your mobile number and click on login.

After that you will get OTP. After that fill the OTP and click on Verify OTP.

After login you are asked to enter family details (do you know your family identity card ID). 

If you know then click on Yes and fill your Identity Card ID if no then click on No and enter your Aadhaar number and click on Continue.

After this the registration form of Meri Fasal Mera Byora opens in which you will be asked some questions which you will have to fill.

Personal Details – In this you have to fill the name of the person in whose name you are registering.

Bank Account Details – In this column, enter your bank name, account number and IFSC code.

Land details – Here you have to fill the area of ​​your land, and the information sought for measles etc.

Crop Details – In this column you have to give information about the crop you are sowing like crop season, crop name, crop variety, sowing time, etc.
