This scheme provides an annual financial aid of Rs 6000 to farmers, distributed in three installments. With the beginning of PM Narendra Modi’s third term, the first cabinet meeting recently took place. In this meeting, PM Modi released the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, benefiting around 9.3 crore farmers. Under this scheme, farmers receive Rs 6000 annually, divided into three installments of Rs. 2000 each. The amount will be directly credited to the bank account. However, for any reason, if you wish to change your bank account for the next installment, and wish to receive your next Kisan Samman Nidhi in your new bank account, you need to immediately update your account details.

How to Update Your Bank Account in 04 simple steps?
- Visit the Official Website: Go to PM Kisan’s official website https://pmkisan.gov.in/
- Access the Update Option: On the home page, click on the ‘Updation of Self Registered Farmers’ option.
- Enter Aadhaar Details: Input your Aadhaar number and select ‘Get Data.’
- Update Bank Details: After clicking, all your details will be in front of you. Click on ‘Edit’ to update your bank account information.
What’s the Current Benefit of PM Kisan Yojana?
Under this scheme, farmers receive Rs 6000 annually, credited directly to their bank accounts in three installments of Rs 2000 every four months. But there’s good news for Rajasthan farmers – this amount has now been increased! This means Rajasthan farmers will now receive a total of Rs 8000 annually.
Eligibility Criteria for PM Kisan Yojana
Originally, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was only for small and marginal farmers with up to 2 hectares of land. Now, all farmers who own land can benefit, provided the land was registered in their name before January 1, 2019. Additionally, applicants must have a bank account, an Aadhaar card, and a link to NPCI.
Who will NOT get these benefits?
- Land Ownership: Farmers without their land.
- Single Beneficiary per Family: Only one family member can benefit.
- Age Restriction: Applicants should be at least 18 years old.
- Government and NRI Exclusion: Families with a government employee or an NRI.
- Pension Limit: Families where a member receives a pension above Rs 10,000.
- Professional Exclusion: Families with a member who is a doctor, CA, or lawyer are also excluded.
