This change will take effect\u2002on May 4, 2025. <strong>President of the Farm Equipment Business (FEB<\/strong>)\u2014currently\u2002<strong>Veejay Nakra<\/strong>, <strong>President, Automotive Division<\/strong>. Nakra has a tremendous turnaround\u2002record in the automotive division. He will\u2002now lead the brand\u2019s FEB, the largest and most profitable sector of the company. <strong>R. Velusamy<\/strong>\u2014current president of Automotive Technology and Product Development\u2014was elevated\u2002to <strong>president of the Automotive Business (AB<\/strong>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9d960f69711895f1ee704ff8bd9245dc\">Mahindra Announces Key Leadership Changes Across Core Divisions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2994984f47b54ea1fa7867ad21dc8b8f\">The changes follow Tata Group&#8217;s decision to bring all SUV and light commercial vehicle operations under Velusamy to build more agility and collaboration in the business. <strong>Ram Swaminathan<\/strong>, the incumbent CEO of Mahindra Logistics, resigned to seek other professional opportunities. The exodus created room for Hemant Sikka\u2019s new\u2002position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-55445336357705b2dda18dfd1621eb27\">On the rationale behind these changes, <strong>Dr. Anish Shah, Group CEO &amp; Managing Director,<\/strong> <strong>M&amp;M,<\/strong> said, &#8220;In our journey of transformation, we believe that for business units to grow and create value, strong\u2002leadership is imperative. These new appointments would add proven leaders to critical businesses,\u2002he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-00812e4629af1aecf468df67ee154631\">The Effects of the Modifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b8dad3be270279f2cf15324ed095e4bc\">Due to\u2002the changes, Nakra, who joined M&amp;M in 1995, is an experienced hand at transforming the automotive division, which had one of the most successful product launches by improving its manufacturing capabilities. The FEB, which Nakra will now head, is among the largest and most profitable sectors of Mahindra, with a return on capital employed (ROCE) of over\u200260%. The new head of the Automotive Business will be <strong>R. Velusamy<\/strong>, who has been with M&amp;M since 1996. Velusamy has been a prominent figure in developing internal combustion engines and Mahindra&#8217;s foray\u2002into electric vehicles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-af3c14685c415c7bf44420c12917af1d\">The newly restructured automotive business will encompass the SUV and light commercial vehicle operations under his leadership to enhance agility\u2002and encourage further collaboration.
