Pulses have been sown in 36.81 lakh hectares, a significant increase from 23.78 lakh hectares at this time last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-055cb9a113b03eade94771d4deef3508\">The sowing of \u2018Arhar\u2019 has seen a remarkable rise, growing nearly four times from 4.09 lakh hectares to 20.82 lakh hectares. A similar trend is observed in soybean cultivation. Last year, soybean was sown in 28.86 lakh hectares during this week, but this year it has doubled, reaching 60.63 lakh hectares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3dca0b69a93b00575ad40b6ec7d29f31\">This increase in sowing acreage can be attributed to the rise in minimum support prices (MSP) and the timely arrival of the monsoon across India. The higher MSP has incentivized farmers to dedicate more land to these crops, while favourable weather conditions have further supported their efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d695118440c30fc1676e27631225418c\"><strong>Millets Fail to Attract Farmers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-fb3f406bf1d95f3f9a3fd327e273e7c9\">Despite a significant increase in the minimum support prices for millets, these crops have not attracted as many farmers. Many farmers struggle to find the right market or sell their produce at the support prices.
