The extensive final audit for this certification was carried out by the Indian branch of the certification body located in Kolkata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-aaedf919ca1f90c0cc2702fb5319a4f0\">Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director of <a href=\"https:\/\/khetigaadi.com\/tyres\/en\">JK Tyre<\/a>, remarked on the achievement, stating, &#8220;Green manufacturing reflects our dedication to sustainable development. By minimizing our carbon footprint and efficiently using resources, we have continuously set industry benchmarks over the years.This acknowledgment marks a significant achievement for JK Tyre and motivates us to uphold our dedication to sustainable practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e7a0ad3a996f41b366a3b63f043c8668\">JK Tyre is striving to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and aims to reduce its carbon intensity by 50% by 2030. The company&#8217;s commitment to reducing overall greenhouse gas emissions has been validated by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-959f6a70e6468bef790f91251a300dc8\">In 2021, the JK Tyre Chennai plant obtained zero-liquid discharge certification, and it received the title of &#8220;National Energy Leader&#8221; during the 21st National Award for Excellence in Energy Management in 2020. In 2017, it was acknowledged by the International Research Institute for Manufacturing (IRIM) for its sustainable practices and green manufacturing techniques. Moreover, the facility has consistently received the &#8220;Excellent Energy Efficient Unit&#8221; award from CII for six consecutive years, beginning in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-565701fd451627209774994f27661c6d\">ISCC Plus, an International Sustainability &amp; Carbon Certification, is a voluntary program designed for bio-based and circular (recycled) raw materials.
