The Bihar government has started taking steps for this. According to media reports, the state government has constructed 6 cold houses and 6 pack houses in four blocks of the district. 6 Production organizations will contact the farmers. In all these pack houses, the litchi of the farmers will be packed and sent abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The state government will provide a 50 percent subsidy for setting up the unit<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officials of the Parks Department said that this project has been started under Horticulture Mission. Its aim is to promote exports and bring more profit to farmers. 4 lakhs to set up a processing unit. The government is giving subsidies up to 50 percent on this. Cold storage and pack houses were said to have been opened in Muzaffarpur’s Manika, Sarchian, Badgaon, Ganj Bazar, and Anandpur to prevent spoilage of litchi.
