Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana has been implemented from Kharif year 2016 in the country and the state with the objective of providing financial assistance to the farmers affected by crop loss due to natural calamity or any other reason and ensuring the income of the farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under this scheme, enrollment for crop insurance can be done from April 1 to July 31 for Kharif and from October 1 to December 31 for Rabi. This scheme is voluntary for all farmers who are loanees, non-loanee, sharecroppers, forest leaseholders, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is known that Urad, Moong, Jowar, Kodo, Kutki, Groundnut, Sesame, Cotton, and Patwari at the district level, paddy irrigated, paddy unirrigated, soya bean, maize, millet, arhar crops have been notified at the tehsil level for Kharif. A maximum premium of 2 percent of the sum insured is payable for all these Kharif crops and a maximum of 5 percent premium is payable for cotton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the information, M.P. Claims have not been distributed to the farmers since Kharif 2021 under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and now Rabi 2022-23 is passing and Kharif 2023 season is about to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
