The state government also stands with the farmers all the time in the form of subsidies, loss of crops, and in other ways. In the Kharif season, floods, rains, and drought harmed many farmers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Farmers’ crops worth lakhs of rupees were damaged. We were not overcome by this that frost and hailstorms in winter caused a lot of damage to the crops. Steps have been taken by the Government of Karnataka to improve the economic condition of the farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chief Minister of Karnataka, Basavaraj Bommai presented the budget of state on Friday. The agriculture sector has also been covered in the budget. According to media reports, till now farmers used to get interest-free short-term loans up to Rs 3 lakh. As per the announcement of the budget, farmers will start getting Rs 5 lakh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While presenting the budget, it was said that all possible steps are being taken to improve the economic condition of the farmers in the state. More than 30 lakh farmers of the state will be given a loan of Rs 25 thousand crore. A new scheme Bhu Shree has been launched for Kisan Credit Card Scheme. Under this, an additional subsidy of 10 thousand crore rupees will be given to the farmers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the budget, arrangements have been made for the livelihood of those women who do not have land. There is no means of livelihood. Shram Shakti Yojana has been started for them. Under the scheme, 500 rupees will be sent to the account of women agricultural laborers through DBT every month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
