How to Get a State Greenhouse Subsidy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, each state has its own scheme (NHM) State Horticulture Mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this, a top-up subsidy of 15% – 40% or more can be provided depending on the policy of the state government on the 50% provided by the NHM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
State-wise the total subsidy is between 50% to 90%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hence, the input cost is low and affordable for the farmer going for polyhouse cultivation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Subsidy rates differ in North-Indian states as Haryana and Gujarat provide 65% subsidy, while Uttar Pradesh and Punjab provide 50% subsidy on the total cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Himachal Pradesh gives 85% and 70% subsidies for the replacement of playsheets after at least 3-5 years of polyhouse construction or damage due to natural calamities. This scheme was implemented by the Department of Agriculture and Horticulture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How to Get a Central Government Greenhouse Subsidy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Agriculture is the largest private-sector contributor to economic activities in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Therefore, polyhouse farming is now being promoted along with horticulture crops by the state government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Activities like the construction of greenhouses, shade net houses, plastic mulching, and plastic tunnels, anti-bird\/hail nets are being promoted under MIDH guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
National Horticulture Board (NHB) and National Horticulture Mission (NHM) provide subsidies to the farmer under MIDH guidelines.
